How Do Members Join?

There are two primary ways to become a member:

1. Genealogical Verification:

You must provide documentation or verifiable genealogy tracing your direct lineage to ancestors who lived on the mainland prior to 1865 and continued to reside here well into the 1900s and beyond.

• If you are bi-ethnic, either your maternal or paternal line must meet the above criteria.

2. Member Sponsorship:

You may be requested or referred by an existing Soulaan Nation member with whom you share direct lineage or related verified information. All applications or referrals are reviewed by the Soulaan Nation Board, and an official acceptance letter from the board serves as final approval.

At this time, there are no membership fees or applications required. Our primary focus is on Soulaan culture, unity, and progress ensuring no unnecessary burdens are placed on individuals simply seeking to reconnect and build.

However, as the Nation grows and begins offering expanded services and community support, membership procedures may evolve to reflect that growth.
